Updated: Oct 1, 2023

David and Lucy in Edgerunners

As Cyberpunk 2077 continues to evolve and expand its immersive universe, the revamped skill tree introduces exciting new abilities inspired by characters from the Cyberpunk: Edgerunners anime. Lucy, Rebecca, and David, prominent figures in the anime series, each bring their unique skill sets into the game, adding a fresh dimension to your gameplay experience.

Lucy's Finisher: Live Wire

Lucy's Finisher: Live Wire

Lucy, the enigmatic netrunner from the Cyberpunk: Edgerunners anime, is known for her swift and precise hacking skills. In the revamped skill tree, Lucy's influence is palpable through the introduction of the "Finisher: Live Wire" ability.

What Is "Finisher: Live Wire"?

"Finisher: Live Wire" is a game-changing ability that allows your character to channel Lucy's expertise in hacking and cybernetic manipulation into combat. When activated, this ability empowers you to unlock the Monowire Finisher, adding a stylish melee attack to your arsenal. Players can press [F] when an enemy's health is low to execute this deadly finisher.

The effectiveness of the Monowire Finisher is enhanced when you have more quickhacks queued on an enemy, making them more susceptible to this devastating move. Additionally, executing the Monowire Finisher restores 15% of your health and grants 5 RAM, ensuring you stay in the fight. This skill is found under the Intelligence skill tree.

Rebecca's Die! Die! Die!

Rebecca's Die! Die! Die!

Rebecca, the fearless and trigger-happy edgerunner, brings her unapologetic combat prowess to the revamped skill tree with the "Die! Die! Die!" ability.

What Is "Die! Die! Die!"?

"Die! Die! Die!" is a combat-oriented ability that channels Rebecca's no-nonsense approach to eliminating threats. This skill, found under the Body skill tree, is all about enhancing your combat capabilities when wielding shotguns, LMGs, and HMGs.

When activated, "Die! Die! Die!" provides a substantial -15% reduction in recoil when your stamina is low. As your stamina decreases, your fire rate increases, reaching up to an impressive 25% boost. This ability allows you to maintain accuracy and fire more rounds downrange, just as Rebecca would in the heat of battle.

David's Edgerunner

David's Edgerunner

David, the central character of the Cyberpunk: Edgerunners anime, brings his journey and determination to the revamped skill tree with the aptly named "Edgerunner" ability.

What Is "Edgerunner"?

"Edgerunner" is a versatile and adaptive ability that embodies David's evolution from a struggling teenager to a formidable mercenary. This skill, found under the Technical Ability skill tree, allows you to push the limits of your cyberware capacity.

With "Edgerunner," you can exceed your cyberware capacity by up to 50 points, giving you the freedom to install more cyberware add-ons for additional buffs and abilities. However, this advantage comes at a cost, as you lose -0.5% of your maximum health for every point you go over capacity.

But there's more to "Edgerunner." When you neutralize an enemy during combat, there's a 0.1% chance for each point you are over capacity that you will break into a fury. In this heightened state, you gain significant advantages, including a +10% damage boost, a +30% critical chance increase, and a staggering +50% critical damage boost. This furious state lasts for 12 seconds, allowing you to wreak havoc on your foes.

Whether you choose to harness Lucy's hacking finesse, embrace Rebecca's unyielding combat spirit, or adapt like David, these skills provide fresh opportunities for dynamic gameplay and storytelling.

As you venture further into Night City's unforgiving streets, remember that the legacy of the Edgerunners lives on, empowering you to carve your path in this cybernetic dystopia.
